User Profile Sync Service not starting

Hi,

Whenever we are trying to start the User Profile Synchronization Service[UPSS] it runs for a while & gets stopped.

When we checked the ForeFront Identity Manager[FIM] Service & FIM Synchronization Service[FIMSS] before starting the UPSS it was started & running, but after starting the UPSS service it runs for a while and gets stopped & FIM and FIMSS also gets disabled.

Can anyone please suggest what can be the root cause for such issue.
