People Picker Restriction

Hi,

I need help with the following to see what/if possible to meet the following requirements:

• Restrict the PeoplePicker access to only a group of users.

OR

• Restrict what profile information everyone can see in PeoplePicker (e.g. Name, LoginID, and NOTHING else) and only allow a group of users to see everything (e.g. Name, LoginID, email, phone, department, etc.)

if possible, how could you go about to achieve this?

Please help me.
