FIM Configure Attribute Flow with custom Metaverse object type

I've added a User Profile Sync Connection for a new domain, and matched the attributes in FIM. I'm looking into the Configure Attribute Flow section and seeing some custom Metaverse attributes under the "person" Metaverse object type. These Metaverse attributes are added through CA, correct? Where/how?
