Upgrade Path from SP1 to October 2014 CU

I have a SharePoint Foundation Farm which is currently version 14.0.6029.1000 (SharePoint Foundation 2010 Service Pack 1).

What is the best path forward for updating to the current October 2014 CU?

It is my understanding that installing SP2 will install all of the CU's that were released since SP1. Is this correct?

Once SP2 is installed can I go straight to the October 2014 CU and be up to date?
