Upgrade 2007 application with multiple databases and managed path

I have a 2007 application that has a managed path that needs to be upgraded to 2010.  The site in the managed path root/sites/sitename has it's own database.  When i backup and copy the DB to a 2008 server and create a new app, I can mount the root DB into the new app, but not the second DB.  How can I upgrade a 2007 site with 2 DBS, 2 collections with a managed path?
