waiting for a reboot from a previous install

I'm building a VM to show the boss what we can do with Sharepoint 2010, but can't get it installed. This is a fresh install of 2008R2, all the updates are applied, and it's joined to the domain. All the pre-req's installed fine. I've re-booted and shut down the server several times, but still get this when I try to isntall:
