Here is the deal:
I performed the following command in PRODUCTION:
PS> Backup-SPSite http://Sharepoint.Internal.com/sites/siteCollection -Path C:\Backups\SiteCollection.bak -usesqlsnapshot -force
I then went into DEV and performed the following:
PS> Restore-SPSite http://Dev-Sharepoint.internal.com/sites/SiteCollection -Path C:\Backups\SiteCollection.bak -Force
However - in the MIDDLE of my restore - bonehead developer reboots the server ... and now I can't do anything with the site collection. When I got into CA and click on the site collection - it is in the list - but there's no data in the window.
I manually try to delete the SC using "Remove-SpSite" and the command fails "Invalid:Data: and FullyQualifiedErrorId" .. it won't delete. I can't restore -Force over it.
The TERRIBLE thing is that I next did a BACKUP of the entire ContentDB in PROD and did completely restored and ATTACHED the new database in DEV and it STILL won't work. It's like - there's something stuck in the Config_DB or something. I dont' get it.
How can I remedy this corrupted site collection and restore it? When I browse to a site collection inside the DB it works, but this single site collection 404 does not load. I also ensured that SQL permissions are correct and I am running SPpowershell as admin.
