Local term store missing after moving site to new content database

We recently had to consolidate some content databases, so some site collections were moved to a new content database.  After the move, we discovered that the site collection local term store was gone.  I understand that local term stores are stored in the enterprise term store database, but how can I reattach the local term store to the correct site collection?
