GUID of various SharePoint artifacts change using import/export.

Hi All,

I have noticed that GUID of various SharePoint artifacts does change during import/export (stsadm -o export/import) which results the broken of workflow associations and data view/List connections. It may break other associations too.

we do use import and export to move the customization in different environment i.e development to production.

I am not able to understand how to handle this, it seems to me that each time I will export or import, I will have to re-create the workflow associations (by using the powershell or UI) and reestablish the link(by replacing the new GUID of list in webpart) between the data view web-part and list.
