how to restore server farm on different farm

Hi,

My Farm is running in production i took full farm backup. Say Machine1/Farm1

Another machine is also running one farm with different SQL Server. Say MAchine2/Farm2 .  Machine 1 and Machine 2 are on same Domain.

I want to restore Machine1/Farm1  to MAchine2/Farm2.

When i run restore farm on MAchine2/Farm2 i am getting lot of errors like

Object WSS_Content failed in event OnRestore. For more information, see the spbackup.log or sprestore.log file
located in the backup directory.

SqlException: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server.
The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server
is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a
connection to SQL Server)
