Manage configuration settings differently for different site collections under same web applications in SharePoint 2010.

Hi Dear All,

I have a requirement to manage different configuration settings for different site collections under same web application in SharePoint 2010.

Typically we have only one web.config file for web Application , and the settings of web.config gets apply to all site collection under that web application.

As it seems very strange , Can this be done ?

How would I accomplish this task? 

Any help would be appreciated.
