error on central admin's manage web applications link

hi there, we have encountered a strange problem, whenever you click on the manage web applications link of the central administration, it shows an "object not set to a reference" error. this error only occurred after adding 2 web applications on port 80, the page was working before that change was made.... anyone have an idea about this?
