I try to set up SMS altert.
For that I used in CA the setting: System Settings --> Configure Mobile account. I filled out all information that my sms gateway service porvieder provides me and "Test Service" returned "this account is valid".
second step was to create an alert on a list and use the delivery method "Text Message". I changed "When to send alerts" to "send notification immediately". I wait over a day for the alerts. Never received.
I created also an equal email alert which works.
The way for my SMS alert is in theory: SharePoint Server --> SMS gateway service provider --> My mobile phone
But my SMS was never sent to my SMS gateway service provider. So the problem must be the SharePoint Server settings or Firewall settings in my opinion.
Firewall port 443 is open for the web front end server.
Anyone have an idea what else I have to check?
