hi,
i am having a SP 2010 VS 2010 solution which contains some 50+ web parts and near to 40 SP lists,
20 doc libs and 8 custom groups. How to deploy these splists/ doc libs/ custom groups in a client environment?
As far as the vs 2010 solution is concerned, we have the wsp file , we can take this wsp and deploy the wsp using powershell,stsadm command lines on the prod server.
But what about the doc libs/ sp lists/custom groups/ site pages/ etc . if you tell me to create those manually its a tedious process -like creating 40 sp lists which contains some 15+ columns and columns ranging from date time, managed meta data,singline line of text, people picker,etc.
is there any way we can automate this also? ie, Creation of sp lists/ sp doc libs/ site pages / custom groups/managed meta data which has mapped to entries in the taxonomy field in the managed meta data service application.
if yes, how can i add/place my web parts into those dynamically created site pages/web part pages ?
can this also automated ? then its easier for us to deploy these complete structure within minutes.
Any approaches/ best practices provided by MSFT are highly appreciated.
