The absolute best Non-Commercial solution for SharePoint automatic backups?

Hi Forum,

Probably, There’re zillion solutions for SharePoint backup, and I know that OOTB SharePoint in the Central Administration is quite good.

However, I am very interested in a Non-Commercial solution such as a proper PowerShell script or free reliable tool which offers the following:

1) Follows the best practices in SharePoint backup procedures.

2) Offers the ability to backup the SharePoint environment at any level (Farm, Web App, Site Collection).

3) Allows automatic backups e.g. every night/week.

4) Maintaining the desk space by taking care of the previous backups e.g. Delete them or Archive them.

Anyone of you has such a comprehensive and good solution to share ?
