Hello All,
I am having an issue with a WFE and would appreciate any insights or thoughts.
This is occurring in a SharePoint 2010 farm (standard). The farm has 1 app server and a WFE. We have a custom masterpage used in a site.
When we browse to the site on the WFE we get a 404 error. But when we browse to the same site on the app server we are able to view the site (that is, we do not get the 404 error on the app server).
We have also observed that when we connect to the problematic WFE with SharePoint designer, we are unable to edit any files (although we can see the files) while we can edit the same files with SPD when we browse to the site on the app server.
Does anyone have any thoughts on what could be wrong?
