SharePoint 2013: Managed Metadata service application cross farm connection

Hi ,

We have two farm structure in our system. Active and Passive farms

Monthly release we will make one farm active other one will passive vice versa for next release.

This farms MMS is published to consumer in third farm.

When i saw the AbsoluteUri is different btw Source farm and Consumed farm

from Source farm :

Consumer farm:

Question: We are getting error while accessing the MMS in Consumer farm:

Error in browser when you open iis site: http://server1:32843/a7edf3fd7eb5476d8dcdd067dc970eb2/MetadataWebService.svc

HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable

CA error: when we are accessing the MMS service application:

The Managed Metadata Service or Connection is currently not available. The Application Pool or Managed Metadata Web Service may not have been started. Please Contact your Administrator

Question:

How do we make it work

1. We need to  publish again and create a MMS in consumer newly?

2. Is there any way to update the entries?
