Audiences and Services On Server

We have a 3 server farm (WFE, APP, SQL).

I've just been informed of plans to create a number of new Audiences, to be recompiled on a frequent basis.

The service this is associated with is User Profile, correct? So if User Profiles is running on a healthy, powerful APP server, recompiling the Audiences should not be an issue.

Sound right?
